Cleansing ,Toning , Moisturizing And Protecting Your Skin

The truth is that most of us don't have beautiful skin , we don't even have so called ''normal'' skin. Instead  we have dry bits ,oily bits or irritated bits. The C.T.M.P skin care routine should help you create beautiful , perfect ''normal'' skin.
Before we go ahead this routine is just the basic routine for every skin type, in my future blog posts I will go in depth about this routine for each skin type specifically .

C is for cleansing

You need to properly cleanse your skin at least once a day preferably before you go to bed. Some of the cleansers you could use are given below
Glycerin soaps and cleansing bars
Normal soap is too harsh for your faces delicate skin but soaps that have moisturizing ingredients can be a compromise.
Foam cleansers
These are great when you need to remove thick sunscreen or even makeup. It's basically great for deep cleansing.
Cream cleansers
Milky cleansers tend to moisturize while they cleanse.
Cleansing wipes
Cleansing wipes are great for  women that are in a hurry or just tired at the end of the day. One good wipe and your done! Pick wipes that are specific to your skin type.

T is for toner

The use of toner's are very controversial in the beauty world. Some say their not at all useful some say they are needed to close your pores after you use your cleanser or to remove any dirt left over after you cleanse .If you do use a toner it's best to use one that's alcohol free. I personally use rose water as a toner because it makes my skin soft and makes me feel like I'm making sure my skin is squeaky clean before I go to bed.

M is for Moisturizer

No matter what skin you have you need a moisturizer. The types of moisturizer's are
Gel or lotion based moisturizer
These type of moisturizers are great for wearing during the day because they tend to be very light, have less oil and are easily absorbed.
Heavy Moisturizer
These are oil based and thick , great for winter time or for very dry skin.

P is for protection

If you want good skin, protect it! Sunscreen screens out harmful and aging ultraviolet rays. For day to day wear, SPF 15 is enough , but if you're going to be out all day or on holiday , wear SPF 30 or above.

So cleanse, tone, moisturize and protect your skin DAILY for the best skin you can have.
In my future posts you will learn how to apply this routine for each particular skin type.

PRODUCT REVIEW - Lakme Eye Colour Quartet Tanjore Rush

The lakme Tanjore rush eye shadow quart have become the eye shadows I've been reaching for lately. I've used them on a few photo shoot's so far, just love how they look face to face and show up on camera. It contains 7g of product and is priced at 425 INR.

This quart has two metallic colours and two shimmer colours. The green and the reddish brown eye shadow are some of the most beautiful shimmer eye shadows I've seen. I do recommend you wear these two colours with a primer under them because there can be a bit of fall out. These shadows are so pigmented it's crazy. The pictures of the swatches I took should give you an idea of what I'm talking about.

I used the green shimmer shadow to create this out door look. It's my favourite colour in the quart.

I used the gold shadow to create this party look.

Hope you ladies get a chance to purchase this one, I'm loving it.

Why You Need To Use Hair Oil

There are so many hair oils in the market but why do we need to use hair oil in the first place?
Our scalp naturally produces oil which can only reach hair that's close to our scalp so we need hair oil to moisturize the rest of our hair. It can be great to give yourself a head massage. If you’re going to apply oil to your scalp, massage your scalp in circular movements so you'll get some blood circulation going and in turn relieve some stress.
So now that we know why we need oil we can move on to what's good in the market.

I personally prefer coconut oil cause it's light weight and easy to wash out. I have been loving the flora parachute oil. It has a jasmine scent to it and is even lighter than regular coconut oils. It’s very easy to wash out of my curly hair.

The vatika coconut oil has henna and lemon extracts in it. I'm not a big fan of this one. My hair seems dull after I wash it out and I don't like henna in any of my hair products cause it's bad for your hair. If you’re the type of person who likes to put oil in your hair over night this is not the product for you cause of the henna.

The L'Oreal elvive extraordinary oil is fairly new in the market and is very expensive compared to anything else on the shelves. It's a blend of many oils. It's light weight and smells amazing. It’s an oil you can wear after you've washed your hair and won't make your hair look too oily. I will be buying this again.
There are a lot of other great aromatic oils in the market that are great for stress relief, do try them out if you get the chance. It's preferable to oil your hair half an hour before you wash your hair. Don't let it sit in your hair all night. Don't forget your skin needs moisture, so does your hair.
Have a good weekend everyone.
xoxo

Easy Summer Hair Do

Grecian /Summer Hairdo

This hair style takes 5 minutes to do. Very easy! All you need is a hair band and some bop pins. The hair style does look a little messy cause my bestie didn’t have a lot of time and she didn’t want to use hair spray but you get an idea of how this hair style looks. I think this hair style would look nice with a nice summer dress or even for a night out. This style would comes out especially well if you have medium length hair.

Meet Berith my best friend :) Is'nt she oh so pretty??She was sweet enough to let me experiment on her.

Anyways you want to start of by teasing the back section of your hair so it gives your hair some volume.

Put your hair band on. You can pin it in place to make sure your hair band does'nt slip off.

Take small sections at a time and fold it into the hair band. Pin it in place to make sure your hair stays in place.

So that's the finished hair do...Pretty easy!Hope you guys try it out this summer!

Flat Iron Your Hair Like A Pro

Flat Iron Your Hair Like A Pro

What You Will Need

1.  A blow dryer
2.  A flat brush/round brush
3.  Hair serum
4.  A heat protection hair product
5. A flat iron rod

You need to start off with just washed towel dried hair.
Apply a coin sized amount of hair serum to your hair. Spread it all over your hair with your fingers. Serum nourishes and gives your hair a healthy shine. I use the livon hair serum. If you have straight hair you might want to skip applying serum, it may make your hair look oily.

Next you need to apply a coin sized amount of your thermal hair protection cream or iron protection product on your hair; make sure you spread it well by combing through your hair once you have applied the product. I use L’Oreal’s iron finish tecni art force 3.It gives the most beautiful finish to your hair.Blow dry your hair straight with the help of a flat brush. You might think that blow drying your hair is unnecessary but it actually helps cut down the time it would take to flat iron your hair and it will give you a better end result. No frizzes for sure!!

Once you’re done blow drying your hair, make 6 sections using clips.
Flat iron your hair one section at a time and *tadaaaaaaaaaaa* you have straight hair!! J
